Creating an Earthy Jungle Boho Bedroom in Costa Rica

When I first started, this master bedroom was a beautiful blank canvas. It was open, airy, peaceful, and full of potential. The high ceilings, dark beams, natural wood bed, and large windows already gave the room so much character. I knew I wanted to keep that light and calming feeling, but add warmth, texture, and a soft bohemian Costa Rican feel.

The room is now a work in progress. I’ve started adding natural pieces, greenery, woven textures, soft bedding, and simple wall decor. I want the space to feel relaxed, earthy, and connected to the jungle outside, without losing the clean, airy feeling of the home.

When I return in July, my goal is to complete the look with a large soft rug, more cozy seating, natural baskets, plants, a woven pendant light, layered pillows, and a few simple decorative pieces. The finished vision is what I call Earthy Jungle Boho. Peaceful, natural, comfortable, and inspired by the beauty of Costa Rica.

This room is becoming exactly what I hoped for. A calm retreat that feels light, warm, and connected to nature. A place to wake up slowly, hear the birds, feel the breeze, and enjoy the peaceful feeling that made me fall in love with Costa Rica in the first place.
