Today I’m going to break down my first Curated Lifestyle Finds blog and talk about how to create a light, airy, coastal feel on a budget.

For me, decorating always begins with nature.

I am drawn to pieces that remind me of the places where I feel most peaceful — the ocean, the sand, the trees, the flowers, and the simple beauty found outside. Those are the things that give me the feeling I want to be surrounded by in my home.

I have always said, the beach is not only a place, it’s a feeling. It is calm, light, peaceful, and free. That feeling is what I try to bring into my spaces.

I love using natural pieces like driftwood, shells, flowers, plants, woven baskets, and soft textures. They bring warmth into a room without making it feel heavy. They make a space feel relaxed, peaceful, and connected to the outdoors.

The ocean is one of my favorite places to be, so I naturally find myself choosing colors that remind me of the water and the sand. Soft blues, greens, whites, and natural beige tones always feel calming to me. They create the base for the light, airy, coastal feeling I love.

Light curtains are another simple detail that can completely change a room. I love when curtains move softly with the breeze and let the natural light come in. It makes a space feel open, fresh, and peaceful.

To me, curated lifestyle finds are not just about buying pretty things. They are about choosing pieces that bring a feeling into your home. Pieces that remind you of where you feel happy, calm, and most like yourself.

For me, that feeling almost always begins with nature.
